Poetry map

Scotland’s landscapes and people have provided material for more poems than you can shake a stanza at, and the Poetry Map project is all about celebrating such work. During Scotland’s Year of Homecoming in 2014, we set about inviting submissions relating to specific Scottish locations, and began to pin them to the map. The aim was to cover the entire map with pins, from coast to coast, highlands to borders, and covering a wide range of landscapes including cities and villages, mountains and lochs, rocks and reservoirs.

Our sincere thanks to the poets and artists who have helped us cover Scotland in verse! We no longer accept submissions for the Poetry Map but still welcome you to wander around it to discover new poems, poets and places.
